Chair and Chief Executive Officer
Kat. Richard K Okine (C3), PhD, is Chair and Chief Executive Officer. He is retired (after 35 years at DuPont). He is a consultant to agricultural organizations and businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously served as President of DuPont Sub-Saharan Africa. His tenure at DuPont included senior leadership positions in technology and innovation, operations, and new business development. He has served on the Boards of Director of several DuPont subsidiaries and been a frequent speaker on food security and agricultural challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa on CNBC Africa and SABC TV. He holds PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Vice Chair and Chief Operating Officer
Kat. Nana Simon Osei Agyemang
Barwuah (V30), Otumfuo
Aboafuohene, is Vice Chair and Chief
Operating Officer. He is a retired VP,
Credit Strategy and Policy at First
Interstate Bank. He holds MS from
Columbia University, M.Engr from
Virginia Tech, and MBA from CMU. His
previous positions include Managing
Director at CRiMan International (a
credit risk management consulting
firm); Director of Credit Risk
Management at T-Mobile; First VP at JP
Morgan Chase; Director of Portfolio
Management at HSBC.

Kat. Charles Owusu Boamah (V20)
Chief Investment Officer
Kat. Charles Owusu Boamah (V20) is Chief
Investment Officer. He has over 35 years’
experience and recently retired from the
Africa Development Bank Group (AfDB) as
Senior VP. At AfDB, he also served as VP, CFO,
Ag. First VP & COO, with responsibilities in
administration, finance & operations. Before
AfDB, he worked for First Interstate Bancorp
in CA and Coopers & Lybrand in Ghana and
USA. He currently serves on the Board of
Directors of Africa50, Int. Governing Board of
the African Institute for Mathematical
Sciences and the Transformation Leadership
Panel. Charles holds an MBA in Finance from
UCLA and a CPA in California.

Kat. Samuel Nana Forjuoh (W93)
Executive Secretary
Kat. Samuel Nana Forjuoh (W93), MD,
MPH, DrPH, FGCP, is Executive
Secretary. He is Professor Emeritus of
Medicine and Public Health at the
Texas A&M School of Public Health at
College Station, TX. He is also the
President and CEO of Trinity
Healthcare in Kumasi, Ghana. A
graduate of KNUST, Harvard, and Johns
Hopkins, he was a Founding Fellow of
the Ghana College of Physicians &
Surgeons. He was also President of the
Asante Kroye Kuo and the Ghanaian
Catholic Community in Houston and
currently serves as a Director of the
Ghana-Houston Chamber of
Commerce.

Kat. Samuel Frimpong (X78), PhD, PEng is
Chief Advancement Officer. He is Professor &
Robert H. Quenon Endowed Chair and
Director of the Heavy Machinery Research
Lab at Univ. of MO in USA, and President of
SAF Mining and Energy Consulting LLC. He is
a Registered Prof. Engineer and a member of
U.S. Board on Natural Resources, College of
Reviewers for Canada Foundation for
Innovation & Canada Research Chairs’
Program. He served previously on CDC-NIOSH
Research Board, Japan’s Government
Research Consortium on Global Warming and
as President of AKATAKYIE USA. He holds PhD
from University of Alberta.

and professionally managed, whose
objective is to seek long-term capital
appreciation and produce attractive
returns whilst being guided by the Ten
Principles of the UN’s Global Compact
and ESG criteria. He is a bestselling
author, international deal-maker,
investment banker and a University
Professor. He holds Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from Univ. of Phoenix, USA.

Chair, Council of Patrons
Kat. Kofi Owusu-Boaitey (O55) is Chair, Council of Patrons. He is a Hospitalist at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in MD. He served previously as Director of the former House Physician Group at the same institution. He is a board certified general internal medicine physician in MD, USA. He obtained his medical education at University of Ghana Medical School after Opoku Ware School. He worked as a medical officer at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana, before pursuing his internal medicine residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital, associated with Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in USA.
